Feeling Inspired? Visit the Spire Viewing Platform at Lichfield Heritage Centre

Towering some 40 metres over the historic City of Lichfield, the Spire Viewing Platform at Lichfield Heritage Centre provides a photographer's dream opportunity. Having reached the top the reward is outstanding views over the medieval Cathedral with its 3 spires, the ancient City, and the surrounding countryside

Weather permitting the Spire is open most weekends and some week days, 10am - 4pm (5pm Saturday)- last climb 1 hour prior to closing).
The climb to the viewing platform involves the ascent of 144 steps by a series of staircases/ladders some of which are quite steep.

All visitors are accompanied by one of our volunteer spire guides.
We ask that visitors be in good health and that sensible footwear and clothing is worn. Unfortunately, for insurance reasons, we cannot allow children under the age of 10 to make the climb.
